Mediterranean Cafe' - Happy Colors

My last card, these two cards, and at least one more, will have these pretty cheerful colors. The recipients of these cards like these colors, and I am diggin' the warmth of them. We have had a very mild winter, but have now had a dip in temperature and I am not handling it graciously. So these colors are making me happy. I normally am not a fan of yellow, but Dorcas is rubbing off on me.  The first card is an anniversary card is for some friends of ours. I am more than fashionably late in getting it to them...as usual! These colors reminded me of the colors in their home.  They had us over for dinner last night and I can now say it was truly delicious. I made the next card for them as well, and gave it to them before we had dinner because I did not want to be more than fashionably late for that too. It was a bit funny because I added that dinner was delicious and we had not eaten  yet! It really was quite yummy!

When I saw this sketch, I knew I had to play. I had the event, the papers and the rest just happened!

Don't look too close at the sentiment. It stamped crooked and due to lack of time and score tape, it had to stay. It bothers me greatly though! I have a love hate thing going on with score tape. It is an awesome adhesive, but once it is down there is no going back.

There is some patchwork going on here!

Pearls & Swirls

Right up my alley as I love both! Please join us this week!

I Love the Sketches at Sketchbook Saturday. I finally timed it right, so I could play along. Just so happens, my paper matches perfectly again. This was not planned this time, nothing else seemed to go.  I had lots of ideas and lots of stash out, but nothing seemed to work, until I pulled this paper out. I had lots of flourish ideas planned for the swirls, but it was too much. The picture makes it looks as if there are different color blues going on. In reall life it all matches quite nicely. I am happy with the outside, but not so much with the inside. The champagne glasses are not my favorite, so when I wake up, if it still bothers me, they may have to go.  You can't see it, but there are swirls in the glasses and I added some glitter for the bubbles too. I just don't want to redo the flourishes, that is a lot of pearls to fiddle with!

My sewing machine is out of the shop! Finally!

I was hoping the crooked lines were because of the

machine not working right. Some of it was, but as you can see, some of it is me too! LOL! The stitching is working again, so I am happy!

Monochromatic

 The challenge this week at Sentimental Sundays is Monochromatic

You can use any color as long as you use just one color, and stay within that family. I love the elegance of Black & White. Perfect for a 25th Wedding Anniversary.  I made this for good friends of ours who will be celebrating their 25th in a week or so.  He is the one who married Aaron & I so we have a special bond with them.

Can there possibly be any more bling or sparkle? I'm the wrong person to answer that because I had to step away from the bling!! LOL! I'm sure I could have put some more on there! I don't know where, but I can find a spot! I love all the shimmer in this card! 

Sometimes when there is a Monochromatic

card especially Black & White it is hard to know 

if the card is truly black & white or if it is digitally processed. This card looks like it could have been processed, because there is no color. So this is to 

show it is truly black & white. Then this made me think of several years ago when we used film cameras. 

I used to take pictures of the cat with those last few pictures so I could turn the film in. The first time I used black & white film, I thought how nice it would be to have black & white pictures of my cat. Do you know what color a black white cat comes out in black & white film? Yep, black & white! That was a blonde moment! Here's my sign!
