Baby Love

This is a card I made for a friend who just had the cutest little girl! My card has lots of shimmery glittery goodness on it, but you'll have to take my word on that as the pictures did not capture all of it. The card-stock is shimmery, the flowers and designer paper are glittery, and the jewels are sparkley! I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures. I find that where I take my pictures my camera does a better job at night.  I did not have a choice in when to take the pics this time, as I gave the card away immediately after I made it.

 I paper pieced the buggy, the blanket and her outfit. I was happy with the outcome as I was intimidated coloring this image.

On The Wings Of Love

The challenge at Dutch Dare this week is "Things With Wings."  So many possibilities. I chose butterflies, but you may decide on birds, planes, insects, etc. Whatever you decide, please join us this week!

I have only cased a few cards, but when I case a card, I am very literal, so I have hard time, not following exactly. So my friend Uli said: "for fun case one of my cards." That is not an easy task, because Uli does beautiful work. Because I am so literal I had a hard time finding a project that I had similar supplies for & I did not want to butcher her gorgeous work. Then I found this card, and knew I had some similar supplies  and could come close. For once it is not exact.

Pearls & Swirls

 The challenge this week at Dutch Dare is

Right up my alley as I love both! Please join us this week!

I Love the Sketches at Sketchbook Saturday. I finally timed it right, so I could play along. Just so happens, my paper matches perfectly again. This was not planned this time, nothing else seemed to go.  I had lots of ideas and lots of stash out, but nothing seemed to work, until I pulled this paper out. I had lots of flourish ideas planned for the swirls, but it was too much. The picture makes it looks as if there are different color blues going on. In reall life it all matches quite nicely. I am happy with the outside, but not so much with the inside. The champagne glasses are not my favorite, so when I wake up, if it still bothers me, they may have to go.  You can't see it, but there are swirls in the glasses and I added some glitter for the bubbles too. I just don't want to redo the flourishes, that is a lot of pearls to fiddle with!

My sewing machine is out of the shop! Finally!

I was hoping the crooked lines were because of the

machine not working right. Some of it was, but as you can see, some of it is me too! LOL! The stitching is working again, so I am happy!
