I Keep On Falling

I found another card that intimidates me! Accidents!
How do you express you care without being too cute or too insensitive?
This is for my friend Sarah, who was in a car accident not too long ago.
Although she did not have to go to the hospital, her car is totaled
and she is still in a tremendous amount of pain.  The images I had were a
little too cutsey for the look I was going for.  I was trying to
find something that would be perfect for her.  Her last home
was decorated in lots of reds and Toile, so I thought the paper
was perfect.  Then I saw this image I had downloaded
awhile ago from TLC and thought that they complimented
one another nicely.  I just did not want her to think I was
minimizing her accident or the pain that she is in.

I put Diamond Glaze on the shoes and
paper pieced the dress

To accept this award I have to do a few things:
A.Please link back to the one who gave you this award and say thanks
I'll say it again, Thank You Yenni!

B. Write 3 sweet moments happened in your life
#1 I found this kitten that I was all set to bring home, but was waiting
for my husband to come get me.  When he arrived he said "Is this the
cat you want?" I replied "Yes, this is the one!"  He then said "No!"
I was crushed and walked so fast he could not catch up to me.
Then when we got to the car, there sat a kitten that he had looked
for all day to surprise me!!! Awwww!!  He was quickly forgiven!

#2 On Our 15th Wedding Anniversary we gave each other
15 gifts.  Most of them small gifts.  He had mine all wrapped
and pretty with little bows on them! (He even wrapped them himself)

#3 I mentioned on someone's blog ( I won't mention Yenni's name... lol!)
that I loved her lace, and she sent me a wonderful package of gorgeous lace!
Thank You Yenni, You truly are the sweetest! You definitely deserve this award!

Thinking Of You

I made this card for a friend that lost her dog of 15 years
around the same time I lost my Cody Cat.  I understand
her pain and wanted her to know I have been thinking
about her.  Even though it been a couple of months,
when they have been a part of your life that long, it still hurts.
I also made this card for the
Verve Sketches for the month of February.
This is the first sketch.  I did them out of order because
I had a serious mental block with this one.  It is a great
sketch, but I could not get it to work.   So I tried
another idea, and could not get it to work either, so I went
back to this and wola! It worked.! I think it was the pressure
of having to finish it.  I seem to work well under pressure!

The medallion is a Martha Stewart tag with a punch out
of the paper.  This paper pack is cool because it
came with lots of matching paper, stickers, tags, letters,
& chipboard! It will be awesome to scrapbook with.

Oh No Not Another Boy Card!

There are some cards that I need to make and I immediately
get intimidated! Sympathy cards and masculine cards
are two of them! At least this is only one of those two!
I only fell mostly apart instead of all the way!
After I slapped myself silly (That was not a long trip lol)
I pulled it together and it actually came together quite
nicely!  This is for a friend of ours that had
open heart surgery a couple of weeks ago.

As you already know receive a lot of inspiration from
Andrea Ewen! I love her work and often like to try some
of her awesome techniques.  I figured I may be annoying her
by always copying her, so a few weeks ago
I started practicing some medallions using some of my
other punches.  And I thought I was coming up with
something different. She recently used this one, so it may seem as if I am
copying her yet again! Sorry Andrea, I was trying to go
a little different! I do love your work!

Sparkle Glitter And Shine!

Today's Challenge at Dutch Dare Card Challenge is:
Sparkle, Glitter, & Bling
This is my first challenge on the design team!
I am quite excited.  Come join us so we can leave you some love!
I was not intending on doing hearts for this card at all.
I had a completely different theme in mind, but I could
not get it to work at all. Then I saw this heart on
Create With TLC and the rest is history!
It comes in two shades of pink!  Very fun to bling up!
It is not a Valentines card, I actually made it for my
Aunt.  It has been 2 months since my Grandmother
died, (Her Mother) So I thought it would be a good
time to send a card to know I am thinking about her.

There is sparkle and pearls on the image as well as the card
Took a picture without flash to show the yummy sparkle!
I printed two digis and layered them using pop dots.
I cut out the heart on the top layer (In the center)
and stamped my sentiment on the bottom layer.
The card was punched with MS Double Arches

 This is the inside.  Bottom

This week there have been some very pretty color
challenges.  Very soft, vintage, girly, right up my alley.
I missed most of them, but will still be able to
enter in The Playdate Cafe and Off The Wall Craftiness Challenges
Looks like I missed the Playdate, got my days mixed up.
I'm a little bummed, I wanted to enter their challenge all
week and thought I had time. Oh well.  You can see
where my color scheme came from anyway.
I loved both of these Color Inspirations.
I am also trying my hand at the Verve sketches this

WOYWW

Last week when I posted what was on my desk for WOYWW, everyone has
been so sweet in saying my desk was neat and tidy.
I spruced it up some last week before the photo. So this week
I decided not to tidy up.  This is is the middle of two projects.
I have to admit it got much worse though as the day went on.
Just didn't get a picture of the worst of it! How very sneaky of me! LOL!
Maybe I'll get brave and show you how messy it can become!

I also did not share last week, that I make full use of the bed
since this is our guest room.  Thank goodness we don't have
guests all the time!  I would actually have to keep the bed clean!

Like I said, it got much worse, so I HAD to clean up.
I have more projects to do, and I can't find anything and I
I waste a lot of time looking for things. Plus I get very overwhelmed.
Maybe I will get a chance to post my projects.  I never posted
last weeks card and I have made two more!
Ready to make a new mess!

I wanted to share a picture of blog candy, but since I don't have any
yet, thought I would share a picture
of real candy. It is almost as good as blog candy. Who we kidding, this
is me talking, this stuff is stinkin' good!

I made 100 followers today! It is so exciting!
Just to let you know I have been wanting to do a blog candy.
It may take me a little while to make it happen.
Soooo, soon I will have a blog candy for my 1st hundred followers only!
You all are awesome and I appreciate all the love you give.
My new followers will not be left out either, I will have two separate candies.  One for my 1st 100 followers and one for my next 100 followers! When you dangle some candy, the next 100 comes fast!
I don't know when it will be, so I will surprise you.
The real candy will not be included in the
blog candy! I am generous, but lets not use
crazy talk! Beside it would never make it
to the mailbox!

WOYWW And Awards

Dorcas inspired me today to show WOYWW.
I realized I have not joined in on the fun in quite a while
either. And since I actually had something I was working on
today, I figured why not?! Maybe I will post the finished
product tomorrow. ...or maybe not.  It all according to
how busy the day is.

After much deliberation on which paper I shall
use and then there is the layout, I had the
hardest time choosing ribbon and embellies!

I also received a couple of awards in the last week or so.
I would like to say
Thank You for both of them!

The first is from Heidi. She is so sweet and very talented.
Check out her beautiful creations! Thank You Heidi!

I am supposed to pick 3-5 of my fav blogs.
That is a hard one because there are so many
awesome ones out there. So I give it to the first 5
followers that want it! You all deserve it.
The only rule is that it cannot go to someone
with more than 3,000 followers.

The next one is from Yenni who is also the sweetest and
extremely talented. Her work is beautiful, check her
creations out!  Thank You Yenni! You are the best!
I am supposed to tell you eight things about myself
Wow that could be quite boring!!
1) Love to craft
2) Takes me FOREVER to pick out my paper!
3) I am addicted to chocolate! Shocker huh?
4) I think I am quite funny- Just ask me!
5) I am an organized pack rat! Mostly in my craft room!
6) I am very shy... until you get to know me, then you can't shut me up!
7) I tend to share way too much in my blogs. I feel you should know the WHOLE story!
8)I am addicted to chocolate. Did I say that already? Well it deserves to be mentioned twice!

Again, because all of my followers are great and do such awesome work this one's for you!
