Chocolate Makes My Mouth Happy

This awesome sentiment by TLC says it all! I have used it before and it rocks! Anyone that knows me knows I have a thing for chocolate. It may possibly, sort of, maybe, kind of come up in conversation every now and then! Soooo I have recently received gifts that included Godiva , Ghiradelli & Lindt Chocolate. Could it get any better than that?!!! So this is one of my Thank You cards.
This is another time when I used a 4x6 paper pack and pieced the paper together with stitching so you never know. I really love doing that!
If I was more confident in my coloring I would have had chocolate all over her face and hands. It would be more accurate of how I look when I eat chocolate! LOL! I was afraid of messing it up so you get the cleaned up version! The chocolate is on pop dots to make it... well, pop! It is the most important feature!

Quilted With Love

It has been a few weeks since I posted my last card.
I am currently off any design teams, which is very nice not to have the pressure when life is crazy. It is bad because I lack motivation to post anything especially when life is crazy. Which these days, seems to be pretty much always. I actually have a few cards made, but just have not been up to posting.  I always say I will do better.

Anyway, wish I could say I have something totally different for you to see, but I got into using these fun bright papers. My friend I made this for has a French Country, Shabby Chic, Bohemian Retro style in her home. Sounds very busy, but it looks awesome! So this card seemed to be perfect for her. It is very much like the little Thank You card from the last post. I used to buy 12 x 12 paper packs to get the most out of my buck, but these days I love the smaller paper packs. DCWV has a bunch of the 4x6 stacks which are nice but don't fit perfectly on a 6x6 card. So that is where quilting has come in handy. This sheet was perfect because it had all the patterned squares I only had to sew them! This will be the last of these papers for a little while anyway!
When I made this I knew I had those retro looking centers, but for the life of me could not find them. I searched EVERYWHERE! Then when the card was finished and photographed I found them, so I switched it out, but I think I like the silver flower better.
Always need some pearls! Used up the last of my teal pearls. They used to come in some fantastic colors!

Mediterranean Cafe' - Happy Colors

My last card, these two cards, and at least one more, will have these pretty cheerful colors. The recipients of these cards like these colors, and I am diggin' the warmth of them. We have had a very mild winter, but have now had a dip in temperature and I am not handling it graciously. So these colors are making me happy. I normally am not a fan of yellow, but Dorcas is rubbing off on me.  The first card is an anniversary card is for some friends of ours. I am more than fashionably late in getting it to them...as usual! These colors reminded me of the colors in their home.  They had us over for dinner last night and I can now say it was truly delicious. I made the next card for them as well, and gave it to them before we had dinner because I did not want to be more than fashionably late for that too. It was a bit funny because I added that dinner was delicious and we had not eaten  yet! It really was quite yummy!

When I saw this sketch, I knew I had to play. I had the event, the papers and the rest just happened!

 The Thank You card!
Don't look too close at the sentiment. It stamped crooked and due to lack of time and score tape, it had to stay. It bothers me greatly though! I have a love hate thing going on with score tape. It is an awesome adhesive, but once it is down there is no going back.
There is some patchwork going on here!
