Sending A Prayer

This week at Sentimental Sundays we are
challenging you to make a card for a man! For most of us ladies that love girly things, that is
a challenge, but it can be done. So pull out your twine, and metal and other guy things and just have some fun with it!

This card is for my father in law who just found out his cancer is back. It is a rough time for him and my husband's family as they all were hoping it was behind him.  It is very hard to come up with an
appropriate card that says you care without being morbid or insensitive. Then add masculine
to the mix, and challenge is the correct word!
I threw this aside 3 times and almost completely ditched it, but always seemed to go back to the same sketch, and papers.

I went to Dorcas' house the other day with high
hopes of blitzing out many projects. I worked feverishly (turns out literally) on just one project
all day. Then, I  kept trying to get my head around
this one, and could not get it. Turns out I was getting
the flu. So as she was whipping out awesome
projects left and right I at least had a good excuse
for accomplishing little. It took me three days of sweating it out, (Again literally) but finally finished it!
So not only was this a hard card, (because
of the reason for making it) I was sick on top of it!
After all of that, I am happy with it and on the mend!
