Sympathy

Just wanted to start out by saying Thank You to everyone
that has expressed your care and concern.
Your prayers, thoughts, and kind words are
deeply appreciated.

This has been a very  difficult week as I lost both my
grandmother and my fur baby Cody on the same day.
I was on my way to NY to see my grandmother, and she died
before I got there.  As some of you already knew my cat,
Cody, had been sick, but was improving and had a very
good week, which made my decision to leave easier.  But
the day I left,  he did not greet me, so I thought he was
just having one of his attitude days after he spotted my
suitcase.  It turned out that he had died as well.
So this has been a pretty horrible week.

Anyway, this also has been a very busy week as we
prepared for my Grandmother's memorial.  Today
was the first down day we have had since I have
arrived. so I took advantage of it and made a
card for my father.  I HATE making sympathy cards!
I do not have all of my supplies with me, and it is a card
for a male, so I struggled a bit.  Could not resist adding a
little bling anyway!

Inside- Guess I should not have used a white
back round to photograph my white card

Stacey, you know that I really did hate to hear about your grandmother, and Cody. I know that the next few weeks will be the hardest, but know we love and care for you. If you'd like Oliver to come stay with you for a day or so, just let me know. Even though he's a dog, sometimes he has a cat attitude. (I had to try to make you smile.) Love, Debbie

Wow! I didn't think you'd get the time to make a card AND post it before leaving for home again! You did a great job on the card, Its so hard making sympathy cards because the whole time we're making them we're thinking on the reason we HAVE to make one which is never very happy. And for a close relative is even harder. BUt you did great, I especially love the buttons and string on the right side of the card. I like that. I'm gonna do that sometime.
I'll be there Wednesday and do my best to distract you when you get home. :-)

Hi Stacey,
you´re a very strong and brave woman! It´s so nice and sensitive to make a card for your father under this circumstances. And you did a very good job! It´s so elegant and you incorporated so many beautiful details!
One can see that this comes straight from your heart...

I'm glad you felt able to do this lovely card for your Dad. Often we feel our words are inadequate at times of loss, but your card demonstrates exactly how much you are thinking of him, and he'll remember that and hopefully feel comforted every time he looks at it. As usual love all your inside and out detailing, and the bling is fantastic. Thinking of you. hugs lin

So sorry for your losses. How sad. I am glad you found a little solace in my card post! Our pets, to me, are just as part of our lives as the rest of our family. It is tough when we lose one. We lost our lab a year ago July, 3 weeks after we lost my brother. It was so hard to deal with them right on top of each other. God bless you and comfort you during this time. Thinking of you, and sending prayers. Love, Kristen
